Meet Ikeoluwa Abioye 15-year-old student who scored 9 A1 in WAEC & 305 in JAMB

Another Nigerian student has made her parents super proud and broken the records yet again after scoring 9 A1s in the 2017 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). 15-year-old Ikeoluwa Abioye scored A1 in all the 9 subjects she wrote. The subjects include Maths, English, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Civic, Catering, Biology and ICT. Abioye didn’t stop there! She also scored an amazing 305 in the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Abioye, an indigene of Irepodun Local Council of Osun State, was recently celebrated and honoured by her alma mater, Starfield Schools, Iju, Lagos. She said, if sponsored, she would love to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) or Harvard University to study Computer Engineering. The Cross River State Police Command on Tuesday, paraded a suspected fake pastor alongside six others for allegedly killing a one year and six months old baby for ritual purposes.   A church pastor identified as Tony Obo-Ekpeyong, who allegedly broke a home alongside six others and abducted a woman’s 18-month old baby girl who he allegedly used for rituals, has been apprehended and arraigned by the Nigerian Police. While speaking to correspondents at the headquarters of the Cross River State Command in Calabar on Tuesday, the 20-year-old mother of the baby, Faith Inyang, on Tuesday, said her baby was stolen at about 3am on August 24 by masked men whom she said she was able to identify. She said she was able to identify the pastor who oversees the Royal God’s Commandment Ministry, because he and the other alleged assailants lived in the same neighbourhood as her. This morning, Pastor Joel Osteen and his Houston megachurch came under attack after reports surfaced online that the church closed its door to victims of the Houston Hurricane. Reacting to the backlash online, the church spokesman and Osteen’s father-in-law Donald Iloff issued a statement saying, ‘we have never closed our doors. We will continue to be a distribution center for those in need. We are prepared to shelter people once the cities and county shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm in helping our fellow citizens rebuild their lives’. Well, after several backlash on social media, the man of God just tweeted that the church is now open to receive anyone who needs shelter.

Man Caught Stealing Ram Ahead of Sallah Celebrations | Photos A man has been apprehended and paraded publicly in shame by residents of Iree in Osun state for allegedly stealing a ram ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government declared Friday, September 1st and Monday, 4th September 2017, as Public Holidays to mark Eid-il-Kabir celebration. As muslims across the country are going to the market to purchase their rams ahead of the Sallah celebrations, a man who chose to obtain his own by stealing, was apprehended by local residents of the Iree area of Osun state on Tuesday. BREAKING: Evans pleads guilty to kidnap

Suspected kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, more popularly known as Evans, has a few minutes ago, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and kidnapping before a Judge at the High Court in Ikeja, Lagos. Evans and his five of his accomplices were arraigned before the High Court on two counts bordering on kidnap and conspiracy. Yesterday, a Lagos Division of the Federal High Court adjourned till September 5 over the fundamental rights application brought by Evans.

Union Shuns Meeting As Federal Government Decides On ASUU’s Demands Today

The Federal Government is reportedly set to decide on the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities. According to The Punch, there are strong indications that the Federal Executive Council will, at its meeting on Wednesday (today) decide on the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, who gave this indication in an interview with journalists on Tuesday, said the university lecturers had deliberated on the offers made to them by the government at a meeting on August 17. Also, the union, in a statement on Tuesday, said it would call off its strike after receiving a positive response to its demands from the Federal Government. The lecturers boycotted a meeting which was scheduled to hold between the government and the union on Tuesday. ASUU, on August 13, began a nationwide strike over the failure of the Federal Government to implement an agreement it reached with the union in 2009. The
